READ FAQ

WHAT IS SQ 832?

State Question 832 raises Oklahoma's minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2029 — in steps: $12 in 2027, $13.50 in 2028, $15 in 2029. That's the part you've heard.

WHAT MOST EMPLOYERS DON'T KNOW:

Starting in 2030, the wage increases automatically every year, tied to the Consumer Price Index.

No legislative vote. No pause. No ceiling.

The Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce projects the escalator reaches $22/hr at the 10-year CPI average and $27/hr at the 5-year average — within 15 years of taking effect.

You are not voting on $15. You are voting on a permanent automatic escalator.
